History

Positech began operations in 1987, offering service and spare parts for V&O brand notching presses.

In 1988, Positech introduced Compuslot®, a servo indexer upgrade to replace the mechanical roller-gear box of a V&O notching press.

By 1993, Positech began offering total V&O press rebuilds along with the Compuslot® servo indexer, and modern press controls.

In 1995, Positech introduced an all new 10 ton rated lamination notching press featuring Compuslot®. This machine also featured servo motor controlled automatic diameter adjustment.

In 2002, due to customer needs for a larger notching press, Positech introduced the C20 press (20 ton, 178 kN), which remains the standard offering today.

For the past several years, our customers have needed a cost effective automated material handling solution for their lamination notching operation. Positech is introducing in 2010 a selective compliant assembly robot arm (ie SCARA robot) based solution to feed lamination notching presses.
